The New Executive of PEI Mutual Insurance Company

The new executive of PEI Mutual Insurance Co. was recently elected following the Company’s 2018 Annual General Meeting. Incoming President, Claude Dorgan (second right) accepts the gavel from outgoing President, Brian MacKinley. Also looking on are Vice President, Jim Doyle (second left) and Blair Campbell (left) the Company’s new CEO.

“MUTUALITY AT ITS BEST!” SPECIAL MUTUAL REBATE DECLARED BY PEI MUTUAL’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

With back-to-back years of positive financial results in 2016 and 2017, the PEI Mutual Board of Directors was very pleased to announce a Special Mutual Rebate back to its policyholders at its recent Annual General Meeting. Outgoing President, Brian MacKinley, noted that this special rebate would be in the form of a cheque to policyholders, representing 10% of their 2017 Annual Premiums. Mr. MacKinley noted that this would be in addition to the 10% mutual rebate (premium discount) that would continue for all policies, new or renewed, in the coming year.

Blair Campbell, the Company’s new CEO, noted that being able to provide cheques back to our policyholders is “Mutuality at its best”. He stated that policyholders of PEI Mutual share a special relationship as members of the Company. “When the Company enjoys exceptional financial results, the Members get to share in this success by way of a Special Mutual Rebate.”

In his new role of CEO, Mr. Campbell noted that he was excited for the future of the Company and its members. He announced that the Board of Directors commenced a major planning initiative in 2017 that would assist the Company chart its path over the next three year period. Appropriately themed “Looking forward for our Members”, Mr. Campbell stated that all Employees have been enthusiastically engaged in the process and our Board looks forward the strategic priorities that will result from this important governance process.

With our head office on Prince Edward Island, decisions are made locally and efficiently for our policyholders. The Company’s sixteen Insurance Agents live in the communities they serve across the Island and look forward to assisting our members providing professional service and continued peace of mind.

35,300 Special Mutual Rebate Cheques Ready to Mail to Our Members

This Special Mutual Rebate cheque is Mutuality at its best! Usually payments from an insurance company follow an accident however this is a truly good news story. PEI Mutual is giving back $4,800,000 to its members from 2017 financial results. Members will receive a cheque and reduced renewal premiums.

Special Mutual Rebate Cheques Organized by Our Dedicated Staff

Our dedicated team has been hard at work putting in extra hours over the past number of weeks to ensure that all Policyholder / Members can share in a Special Mutual Rebate from 2017. These cheques total $2,400,000 or 10% of Premiums paid in 2017. Our members will also receive Mutual Rebates of $2,400,000 in reduced premiums this year.

We have been busy preparing over 35,300 cheques for each of our Members. PEI Mutual experienced excellent financial results in 2017. Our Members will share $4,800,000 in Mutual rebates, 10% of Premiums, paid by Special Mutual Rebate cheque, plus another 10% in reduced premiums this year.

PEI Mutual’s excellent financial results were due to our Members commitment to our values of shared protection, loss prevention and financial success.
