Due to the high volume of claims we have all staff helping out and we will receive and process all insured claims. Please understand that we dealing with claims in priority of severity and need.

What Do I Do If I Have Damage before an adjuster visits

Take photos of the damage or scene especially if trees or other objects need to be moved or emergency repairs need to be made.

Do make emergency preventative repairs

Keep any damaged property for our adjuster to see and document. After your claim is reported we will have an adjuster attend your property to examine the damage and advise you on next steps. Our adjusters will be contacting you in priority of severity and need.

Hurricane Dorian - Be Prepared

It looks like hurricane Dorian is on the way; there's still time to prepare. Here are a few quick tips as we all "batten down the hatches" for the weekend:

• Ensure doors and windows are closed and secured
• Put away loose objects, patio furniture, barbecues, etc
• Tie down trampolines
• Check sump pump systems to ensure they are working, and have a back-up (or two, or three!) including a battery powered pump or a standby generator
• If you have a generator, test it out beforehand and be sure you have lots of fuel available
• Ensure eaves troughs are clean and down spouts are secure and pointing away from your home.

Over the past 15 years the staff at PEI Mutual has personally donated over $20,000 to the IWK

The donations come by the way of bake sales, jean days, silent auctions, and other events all organized by the staff.
