New Service Agent Dave Sigsworth


PEI Mutual is pleased to welcome Dave Sigsworth as Service Agent for the Winsloe - Brackley area. Dave comes to PEI Mutual with a wealth of business and customer service experience. He holds college diplomas in Business and Media and is currently participating in the Insurance Institute of Canada program for Insurance Professionals.

Dave has been a lifelong resident of PEI and resides in North River with his wife and 2 boys. Being a community minded person, Dave is very much looking forward to serving the people of Central Queens County in his new role.

PEI Mutual Insurance Company, Prince Edward Island’s largest property and casualty insurer, has an opening for a full-time Data Entry Clerk at its head office location in Summerside, PEI.

Job Description:
As part of our Data Entry department, your primary responsibility will be typing data from paper formats into computer files and database systems, with a high level of accuracy. Job tasks will include: type reports from insurance applications and change requests; compare and verify data entered with source documents; print and organize annual insurance renewals; maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems; and other general administrative duties, as may be required.

Qualifications for Applicants:

  • An Office Administrative diploma or equivalent Data Entry experience
  • Highly organized with accurate and efficient typing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of general office procedures & office equipment
  • Positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Confidential, professional and great attention to detail

Due to the high volume of claims we have all staff helping out and we will receive and process all insured claims. Please understand that we dealing with claims in priority of severity and need.

What Do I Do If I Have Damage before an adjuster visits

Take photos of the damage or scene especially if trees or other objects need to be moved or emergency repairs need to be made.

Do make emergency preventative repairs

Keep any damaged property for our adjuster to see and document. After your claim is reported we will have an adjuster attend your property to examine the damage and advise you on next steps. Our adjusters will be contacting you in priority of severity and need.
