Responsibilities: As our Executive Assistant you will provide substantial Executive support for the CEO, Officers, and Board of Directors. Job tasks include:

  • Receive, prepare, and direct correspondence, letters, documents, and emails
  • Prepare and distribute agenda and meeting materials, attend meetings, and take minutes for all Board of Director and Head Office staff meetings
  • Organize convention registrations and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Support the CEO in advertising, donations, and promotional initiatives
  • Prepare and distribute agendas, order, and pick up supplies for Agent's meetings
  • Prepare agenda and invitations, coordinate venue and materials associated with the Annual General Meeting
  • Various other general administrative functions, as required
Qualifications:
  • An Office Administration diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word & Excel)
  • Positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and well-developed organizational skills
  • Confidential, professional, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Service Position Staff Equipment Appraiser

Position Overview: Reporting to the Claims Manager and serving as a member of the Claims Team, this position provides the opportunity work with our highly motivated team to inspect and appraise farm and fishing machinery/equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide consistently high level of responsiveness to inspection requests
  • Deliver consistent, accurate and prompt appraisal reports
  • Engage with local dealers and vendors to efficiently manage workflow
  • Conduct cause analysis following technical inspection of equipment
  • Assist dealers, vendors, and members source repair options and parts
  • Understand and develop accurate valuations based on equipment condition
  • Keep current on industry trends, and best practices
Personal Characteristics:
  • Red-Seal Mechanic or experience with heavy equipment or Certified Auto-Body repair are considered assets
  • Completion of I-Car or other technical courses/education is an asset
  • Interested in pursuing mandatory and other education opportunities
  • Self-starter. Well organized with strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • An innovative thinker
  • An agile professional excelling in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY

The Annual Meeting of the Members of the Prince Edward Island Mutual Insurance Company for the 2021 year will be held at The Oval, above Red Shores at Summerside Raceway, 55 Greenwood Drive, Summerside, PEI on the 12th day of April, 2022, beginning at 2:00 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to receive the financial statements and the auditor's report for 2021; to elect directors; to appoint auditors; and to transact business of the 2021 Annual Meeting.

Social distancing will be observed where possible. To ensure safety, attendees are to pre-register by contacting head office at 1-800-565-5441 by April 5, 2022. Please check our website, www.peimutual.com for updates in case Public Health or other considerations require postponement or venue change for the Annual Meeting.

Summer Student Administrative Support Clerk Position

Are you a college or university student looking for full-time summer employment to earn some extra cash, while expanding your skills and experience?

PEI Mutual Insurance Company, PEI's largest property and casualty insurer, has a full-time administrative support summer position available, for a post secondary student at its head office location in Summerside, PEI.

Job Description:
As part of our Records Department, you will provide a wide range of administrative and office support duties for various departments in the operation. Job tasks will include:

  • prepare and process outgoing mail
  • maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • process credit card payments
  • restock various forms, applications, and supplies
  • answer policyholder inquiries and transfer inbound phone calls
  • other general administrative functions specific to the insurance industry, as required.
Qualifications for Applicants:
  • A post secondary student who is available for work beginning early May
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Positive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidential, professional, and great attention to detail
  • Team-oriented, highly motivated, and reliable
This is a 17-week position with a start date of Monday, May 2, 2022, ending Friday, August 26, 2022. Student rate of pay is $17-$19/hour.
